EBI English classes in the Primary School

"With languages, you are at home everywhere."

"Our aim in our values-based school is to enable our children to achieve their highest potential in the heart of our culturally diverse community.  The school community
works together to ensure every child has a positive, happy and rewarding school experience. Parents and teachers are genuine partners who encourage the children.
The staff nurtures a love of learning and provides a friendly, caring and happy school environment.

We encourage them to grow spiritually, morally, socially, culturally and academically whilst nurturing curiosity, creativity, empathy, respect, commitment, integrity and understanding so that they develop lively and enquiring minds. They are challenged and encouraged to thrive and achieve as individuals as they become resilient and effective learners with high motivation and good work habits. We enable them to take pride in their achievements and enjoy their time in our primary school."

Brigitte Laurent, EBI pre-school and primary coordinator.

English classes are provided by English-speaking teachers. Massillon offers a greater number of hours than required by the French education board.

  • The « Level » classes (2 to 3 hours per week) follow a British ESL programme. The different skills are developed in an interactive way.
  • The EBI Advanced classes (5 hours per week)  focus on developing fluency and accuracy in all four skills.
  • The curriculum  for the native language English classes ,EBI Grade classes, (8 to 9 hours per week) is based on the British and American programmes.
